B&WProfile.jpg

Lyssa is a highly analytical artist. She creates conversation pieces with a very systematic approach by observing human interactions and emotions to produce work that will provoke a distinct internal response. Her goal, at its core, is to promote personal reflection. Her work aims to provide the viewer with a space to contemplate individual realities. It is vastly understood that no one enjoys being handed the "mirror" however, Lyssa's art emphasizes the necessity of accountability - starting with her own.

She believes that once a person can own their reality, they become highly susceptible to a more empathetic existence. As a result, she uses her insecurities as a platform to create art. It is thought that feelings of acceptance, joy, pride, shame, anxiety, fear, anger, and despair are shared cross-culturally, making them extremely relatable. Circumstances may be different from one person to the next however, the internal consequences of external forces are unequivocally similar.
